Coming into a sorority, you’ll come across a lot of different people. You might come across the crazy one, loud one, bossy one, party one, or the ones who thinks she’s better than everybody. Seems like a lot, huh? But, at the end of the day, each girl makes the sorority what it is in their own special little way. So let’s look at the 7 types of personalities that every chapter needs.

The Party Animal

This one here is the life of the party. She wants to be the center of attention. She’s loud, brash and just loves to have fun. You can turn on some music and she starts dancing, grabbing people to join in with her. When the mood is horrible, she can turn the mood from horrible to a whole lot better. Oh yes! There’s one of these in a sorority.

The Organizer
I’m pretty sure every sorority has that one person whose always up-to-date on any documents or anything business. She might seem a little too harsh when it comes to meetings, but she just wants to do a great job and making the sorority a great sorority. Plus, if you need any help with your homework, I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t mind lending a helping hand.

The MAMA
Then there’s the one who will sit down, listen to your problems and leave you with good advice. People refer to this sorority sister as the mother because she allows you to express what’s going on in your head.

The Foodie
Then you have that one girl who just loves to eat. Every time you look up, she’s always stuffing food down her throat. Like girl, give food a break please. She doesn’t mind cooking or buying food and she might offer some if she feels like being generous. But she doesn’t mind reminding people that it’s okay to pig out.

The Fashionista
She stays decked out every time you see her. Her clothes are styled and they accentuate her so well. The sisters love coming to her for fashion advice because she knows to slay without trying so hard.  And, if you ask her, she might let you borrow some of her clothes.

The Social Media Junkie
This sister is a social media addict. She stays strolling through Facebook, snapchat, IG, or any other social media site. She’s always laughing at something funny and showing it to her sorority sisters. She also reposts those funny memes. But she loves to snap pictures of her and her chapter and post them on social media. This social media junkie keeps her phone on her at all times to see how many likes she’s receiving or to just stroll through for quick laughs.

The Mediator
Lastly, but definitely not least, there’s the one sister who tries to help her sisters compromise. She’s known as the mediator. When someone’s having an issue and they come to her about it, she’ll tell the truth. She wants the situation to come to some kind of common ground. She’ll hear each person out, but she’s not going to be bias. She turns a bad situation into a better, more understandable situation.

Create your own type

Just like there are plenty of sororities with different types, it’s essential to have your own type. Be you and only you. Maybe your personality can help the sorority group continue to grow strong. You don’t have to be perfect coming into a situation. Don’t be afraid and be your own type of person!
