early bids
by: CameronDo guys who accept early bids from fraternities have a say so in who is extended bids for the rest if rush even though they have not been initiated yet?

Actually, yes, now and then. If you receive a summer bid and you have a good friend from your area also coming to State, it doesn’t hurt to mention that to the rush chairs or committee that offered your bid. Sometimes that friend can be put on the radar and end up bidded.
It doesn’t happen constantly, I’ve known that to happen a few times in State fraternites.
