sorority exec
by: hanDo exec and other leading and working positions in sororities get paid? If not what makes them want to be in those positions?

No, they do not get paid. A sorority is not a business, it is a social institution that is run by its members, voluntarily. There are a few paid positions at the national level and for chapter house mothers, but never the membership of chapter actives or alumnae. Women hold offices and advisory positions for several reasons: 1) They LOVE their sororities, are PROUD of them, and want to contribute to their success by giving back to the organization that has enriched their lives so much; 2) They have skills in leading, or organizing, or mentoring, or any of the many diverse talents and abilities that a chapter needs, and enjoy fulfilling the various positions with what they are good at; 3) They gain valuable experience and hone their skills for when they are out of college, and can show on their resumes that they already have great qualifications and proven qualities that hiring managers are looking for. If you want to get a lot out of a sorority, then put a lot into it!
