I would never accept a bid from KKG at southern. This sisterhood is a dumpster fire. They offer bids to pretty much ANYONE and EVERYONE, even the girls who immediately get dropped from every other house. This chapter has no money, no events, no involvement, no standards, no social life (as a chapter) and a sisterhood that does not seem genuine at all. It’s been so bad in the past that they’ve been on probation through their nationals for having such a poor sisterhood. The vast majority of these girls are so weird and even embarrassing, but there definitely are a handful of good ones who just got unlucky and wanted to join a sorority (they drop almost nobody- unless they just know a girl is way too good for them). Exec is terrible and they don’t know how to effectively handle things. So much bad goes on in this sorority; they definitely won’t stay at southern for much longer unless something major changes. These girls also do not have recruiting skills at all. So many PNM’s have complained about how the girls in this chapter weren’t capable of leading a productive conversation during recruitment. Also, the question “do you consider yourself to be more like a spoon or a fork?” came up to multiple girls during recruitment of fall 22 and this werided out sooo many people. Their work week must be a nightmare. People bash this sorority non stop, for a variety of reasons. I do feel bad for the sweet, smart girls in this chapter because they often get grouped in with the bad, but that’s just the reputation that this sorority has established for themselves over the years. They also tend to have the lowest GPA on row- which is just weird and surprising because these are NOT your party/social girls. KKG needs serious help!

Don’t join Kappa. The dues are expensive and not at all worth the money. Compared to other sororities, Kappa has basically 0 sisterhood events/ socials. There was maybe 1 a semester while other sororities have multiple per week. There is a very high chance Kappa won’t be at southern in a few years (they don’t want you to know that) so keep that in mind when rushing

Chapters change from class to class, but sisterhood remains… so welcoming in and excited when first chartered.

KKG is a social dumpster. All the older girls hate the younger girls. They have no money. They have so many weird girls they try to hide. They were on probation with their nationals for a year for poor sisterhood. They have issues with girls getting with other girls boyfriends. They also had a new member date the new member educator.

These girls are genuine. They are definitely a mixture of all types which makes it a great sorority to find your place and be yourself.

super sweet beautiful ladies if o was interested in greek life i’d rush kappa kappa gamma. they love to party

worst chapter you could join. everyone talks down on kkg for several reasons, but above all, their risk management is embarrassing. they always keep girls around that are above all just embarrassing when it comes to representing their sorority. i heard of and have seen several situations where their girls did VERY bad things, and instead of trying to manage it, their exec continued to let these girls do what they want without any sort of consequences, even in situations where the schools code of conduct took action on these girls. kkg is embarrassing for a lot of reasons, but not disciplining EMBARRASSING behavior that would get girls kicked out in other chapters… yikes.

I literally love this chapter! Met some of my greatest friends there and they will forever hold a special place in my heart. They helped me through the toughest experience I’ve ever gone through and I am so grateful.
