You put your first choice as the first on your pref card and then you decide out of the other three who you like the most and then you put them down as second and third. MAXIMIZE YOUR OPTIONS. DO NOT SUICIDE. If you do, you're setting yourself up for potential heartbreak. Trust the process. If this doesn't help you, talk to your rho chi about it

Don't only put your first choice down. Just because you put your top choice down by itself doesn't guarantee they will give you a bid, and then you get no bid. Fill out the pref card entirely and just let whatever is going to happen happen!

All the houses that invited you back saw something in you. Please keep an open mind and look at those other houses with fresh eyes. They have amazing girls too and most likely an amazing sisterhood. Be the kind of girl worthy of that sisterhood!

There is a chance you can hold your top house all the way through. Or a chance they will drop you tomorrow. Keep an open mind and don't base your choice on what mean girls think.

You've gotten great advice so far. I know it hurts & this is a really tough/ emotional week, but at this point, these are the only 4 houses that see you as sisterhood potential. You need to treat them all as if they are the only 4 houses on campus and find great things about all of them! Every single Bama house is amazing and full of beautiful, smart, involved, fun girls! All houses offer the same sorority experience- sisterhood, social events, opportunities for leadership, Bigs/Littles, etc.

You have some tough decisions to make: would you rather not be Greek at all than try the 3 houses you've decided you don't like (based on meeting, what, 10 members this week and probably listening to Tent Talk/ Greek Rank?) if you rush again next year, you'll likely have the same result as most houses have a "once cut, always cut" rule. This really is your best chance to go Greek. Will you regret missing out on it? Will you withdraw if your #1 doesn't invite you back for Pref?

Re: signing your pref card, if you only list your #1, it's called "suicide" for a reason. Statistically, your chance of getting your #1 is low, so you have a huge chance of not getting a bid. The info above about not being eligible for snap bids or COB is true.

Please consider finishing the process and ranking every pref house. Whatever your bid card says, go to Bid Day and off to your Pledge Retreat. Your pledge class will be where you make your bff's and those girls aren't even in the house yet!!

Also, you asked if you only list your top, would you get it since you have no other choices?

Girl, you will probably have 3 choices. The computer knows that when it bid matches. If you are only invited to 1 house and you list it, then yes, you automatically get that house. But if you have 2-3 houses, you have other choices whether you list them or not. You can't fool the bid matching system.
