Pref to Bid Day is really the only time when your "choice" actually has a lot of power because you will rank your 2 or 3 Pref night sororities as 1, 2, and 3. Cuts from Skit to Pref tend to be less GPA/legacy related and more personality fit and "intangibles."

As a PNM, you only have a say IF all houses from the last round invite you back....this is pretty rare so expect to have houses on your skit schedule that you ranked at the bottom. Give them a chance- it's better to be Greek than not and the sorority experience is pretty much the same at every house (sisterhood, social events, Bigs/Lils, living in the house, etc).

When you DO have a bigger say is pref night. When you fill out your bid card, the computer system will put you in your #1 choice, as long as it has not filled to quota by the time your name is on the bid list. If you're on the 1st bid list at 2 of your 3 pref houses, you'll get the one you ranked higher. As long as you rank all 3 (or 1 or 2 if you don't have a full schedule), then you will be getting a bid from one of them- this is called "maximizing your options."
