religion in sororities
by: PNM
I'm not religious, at all. I'm agnostic at best and I'm respectful of others religious beliefs but after the Phi Mu video and general conversation with some members I'm starting to worry Greek life is mostly Christians with Bible study etc....
What houses are the most religious and least. I really don't want to regret my decision.

It varies within houses themselves. I am more of a "church on Easter and Christmas" type person, but I have sisters who go to church every Sunday and others who are atheists. Many sororities have ritual that is based on Christian beliefs, but no NPC sorority has a religious requirement to join. And you'll find that most sororities don't really push one way or the other. As long as you respect other people's beliefs and they respect yours, I don't imagine you would have a problem. So look for people who are tolerant, whether or not they are religious.

You will probably feel most at home in Kappa on old row or APhi/DZ/GPB and Theta on new row. Avoid AGD and Phi Mu and AXO - while there might be non believers in these houses, if you don't adhere to the norms you might get the cold shoulder. Being different or unique isnt necessarily highly valued there.

Thank you for all the advice! I don't have a problem with religion. And I don't care what others believe as long as we're both respectful of the others difference in opinion.
Just wanted to avoid a house where Sundays are church days for the majority.
Though with over 300 girls I'm sure their's plenty of diversity. I hope.

I'm in one of the houses that is thought to be really religious.I'm agnostic, and I've never had a problem. I mean sure, we have girls who will post on our PC facebook and organize a bible study and whatnot, but you don't have to do it and no one will judge you for it. Out of hundreds and hundreds of girls, not all of them are going to be devoutly religious. You'll be fine. Still go where you find your heart.

The most tolerant would most likely be aphi, gphi, or maybe theta?
