Are swaps mainly held on week nights and just regular parties on the weekends?

Are the Tuesday night swaps mandatory, even if we have tests and classes early Wednesday morning?

I couldn't say. I was in a fraternity and we only had a couple of them. As a pledge you go or DD, no other option. Not sure how the sororities handle it though.

it depends on what sorority you're in. mine makes you go, but you can leave at 11pm.

You're allowed to leave whenever you want if you're in a sorority, and as long as you aren't DDing you're generally allowed to leave whenever if you're a pledge at most fraternities.

So sororities want us to keep a high GPA but at the same time are forcing us to stay up and party until midnight when we have class the next day??? Are classes just easy at Alabama or what's the deal...?

just don't wait till the last minute to study. study before you go to the swap and if you have an exam, just don't stay long.

I meant fraternity pledges. I doubt sororities make their pledges shotgun beers until they are puking before swaps, etc. You could probably not drink and just show face then leave. But swaps are a huge part of a sorority and in college Thursday is the new Friday. You'll figure it out and make your own choices and be fine. Trust me.

Different sororities have different requirements. Some require swaps, some don't. This is a question you could ask during recruitment, although the sororities who require swaps may not appreciate the question, so be careful how you ask it.

What are chi o and kd girls going to do on Thursdays when every other house is having swaps?

Fraternities open swaps open to all girls at like 11 and girls just hop house to house on the row or go to a house where they have friends. So I guess they will just go out but go to other swaps? IDK

Oh that's not too bad everyone made it seem like kd and chi o will really suffer this fall

Bad part is though that I met a lot of my friends in other sororities at swaps and pledge parties (which supposedly you're not allowed to have now) so idk. I'm sure they'll find a way to have fun and go out and meet people.
