For all those who are asking questions about getting a bid if you're from out of state or from the northeast, west coast, few connections, etc. Here is a list of every girl who got a bid in 2014 including their sorority and what city and state they're from. This list shows that no matter where you're from, you have a chance to get in any house. Hope this helps

In the 2014 pledge classes, all of the states were represented except for the following: Alaska, Idaho, Maine, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, and Wyoming (I'm only human, so I may have missed a bid from these states, but I know 100% all of the other states are represented). Additionally, in the Fall of 2014, 0.1% of freshmen were from Alaska, 0.04% were from Idaho, 0.02% were from Maine, 0.05% were from New Mexico, 0.01% were from North Dakota, 0.02% were from South Dakota, 0.1% were from Utah, 0.03% were from Vermont, and 0.02% were from Wyoming. That means were was approximately 1 student from North Dakota (the lowest percentage here), and 7 students from Alaska (the highest percentage here). We have no idea how many of those students were boys, and out of the female students, how many chose to rush. It's not surprising there aren't students from these states in any of the sororities' PC 14.
Also, last year, 2200 women participated in rush and 2054 women received bids. That's a 93.4% placement rate.
