not having connections

How hard is it to get a bid if I have no connections but I have a high GPA and am very involved at my high school?

Top tier will be hard to break into. You have a good shot at middle or low tier, but good grades and high school activities aren't going to carry you through, you need to be put together, poised, and personable during rush. Don't stress about it too much, it will just psych you out.

You'll be fine. Most out of state girls know barely anyone coming here, if anyone at all. Follow your greek chic, look cute, be personable. No, you might not go the very top house, but that's ok. Who knows, you might! A good GPA will always help you out though.

you'll be okay. girls in every sorority are literally going through the PNMs online and looking at girls from all over. I know I looked at almost every girl from my state. you'll be fine :)
