phi mu article

by:

For all you pnms who are "in love" with phi mu and their fakeness, please google "why my daughter will never be in a sorority" to read an article that an ALABAMA PHI MU wrote just about 3 years ago. And if anyone tries to comment saying "every house does those things" you're so wrong. Because if my sorority ever treated our members that way, no one would put up with it and everyone would drop. Good for that girl for taking a stand.

I am not a gamma phi but so what? If you are a pnm that pledges them, you know it is a house that is serious about standards and is aspiring to be competitive in all aspects -- as opposed to other houses you may pledge that are more chill on that and maybe have more lookers and very active socially. Different houses have different aspirations and priorities. Good questions for you to ask at recruitment, but be artful.

What do people honestly expect they are getting themselves into when they pledge a house who HAS A SKIT ABOUT BEING "MEAN GIRLS" during recruitment? These are girls who are very aware and preoccupied with image. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but don't act all shocked for F's sake?! People want to be part of this group because they want to fit that image. To each their own, I'd rather be a big fish in a more average pond, but I'm not going to slam them, they are who they are. They've never presented themselves as laid back during recruitment, so stop with the surprise and dismay!

Each sorority has an image they like to portray and when you join an organization there is a certain amount of conformity. I just read the article and the writer seems to be the stereotypical feelings hurt:chip on the shoulder type. She complains about her sorority and I bet her sorority complained about her. There are some people that are not meant for Greek life so it may be best for everyone that her daughter not join one either.

PNMs: This is another example of some house being worried about Phi Mu so they bumped a stupid comment from a year ago. SMH!!!

This sort of freaked me out. Is this article true? Or has phi Mu put something out there to prove the allegations are not true?
