bamabound

Is it a serious problem if a pnm is seen drunk and partying at Bama bound? Me and some new friends may of had a few too many. Now I am nervous about it. How do any actives even know who we are? Are some houses more likely than others to just cut a girl for getting a little wild? How would they keep track? There are like 2000 of us.

I sincerely hope you're a troll. From the bottom of my heart, I'm hoping you're not actually being serious.

You're asking if it's ok that you girls, who are essentially still high schoolers and possibly minors, couldn't be responsible and do what you were supposed to do for ONE NIGHT? You couldn't spend ONE NIGHT on campus without drinking? You're at orientation for goodness' sake, focus on academics! If you can't tell, yes, that is a very serious problem. And if you want the honest truth, you have bigger issues to address here than if you're getting a bid or not, like if you're actually mature enough to handle being in a sorority.

As if this hasn't been said enough, DO NOT PARTY DURING BAMA BOUND. Yes, actives will see and recognize you. Yes, this is a blatant violation of the rules and word travels fast in the Greek community. So yes, you have most likely limited your options severely. The rules are there for a reason, and if you don't take them seriously, we won't take you seriously. Your best bet is to keep your social media absolutely pristine for the remainder of summer and be thankful if any bid comes your way in August.

The campus is smaller than you think, you're probably fine but I wouldn't recommend partying it up during recruitment or the week before. Might not be the best decision, but to each's own.
