do stereotypically nerdy activities hurt you?

Like I know good grades are a definite plus!
But if you were in marching band or whatever, or did math team or whatever for example, would that set off a flag for sororities eveN if the girl is cute and has a fun personality and other good assets?

Or would this be a good thing as the girls are cute and have other good qualities (cuz diversity in activities/representation + good grades + plus usually they are ones that stayed out of trouble in high school, so they won't be the wild girls)

Cosplay, D&D, or being way into Disney or Harry Potter say "weirdo" way more than being on the math team or in the band.
