by: pnmIs KD on probation? If so, for how long and why. I am a KD legacy and would really like to know before rush. All the talk is about Chi O not that much about KD. Thanks!

Dirty rushing. Didn't follow Panhellenic rules. If Panhellenic would've fined them for every incident it would've been over $75,000... An amount not possible to pay. So they've been on probation ever since last fall.

No. It was never made public.
Basically, sororities were allowed to contact pnms starting around December 15 2014. You could not add them on Facebook, send cards, send letters, have rush parties, nothing.
They broke this huge rule and sent Halloween cards out and even had their Christmas parties way before the contact date.
It doesn't seem like a huge deal, but they knew the rules fair and square. It was not fair to the other houses who patiently waited to contact girls when contact period started.

So the advantage they tried to gain by breaking rules will, in theory, be gone cause of the probation... But reason they were dumb is bc they have a built in pipeline to the very ones they improperly contacted. It's not like an average grades, spoiled rich girl from Mountain Brook who likes to party is going anywhere else (except Kappa). :)

I don't think I believe this one! Pretty sure we would've heard about this way before right now if it were true. How in the world would they have time to throw a party? There is so much work to be done the night before bid day.

Don't believe it???? It's 100% true. It actually happened to a girl from my hometown. Tons of sororities do this. An active invites tons of pnms she knows put kd first over to her house and they have a party the night before bid day where the future new members can meet each other. Chi o does it too. It's horrible.

A poor pnm actually went to this kd party, got kd written all over her face, only to find out she didn't get a bid from kd, but a much worse sorority. So freaking sad. That's just evil.

Of course she was invited. That poor girl put kd first and KD did not put her first. That active may have thought the pnm would go kd, but there's a lot that goes on til about 3 am that actives don't know about. Sororities don't submit their bid lists til the early am, so actives truly don't know who will go kd until bid day.
Which is why these parties are illegal, a sorority and a pnm have absolutely no clue who will be on what lawn until about 8 am on bid day.

Are you serious? I could probably find 15 on Facebook right this second. I specifically saw pnms Instagram the night before bid day with about 20 members of their new pledge class. It was soon deleted, but they all posted them on Facebook about a week later
