by: CuriousTo all you PNM's out there which sororities seem the most appealing to you and why? Right now which sorority or sororities are you hoping to receive a bid from?

It isn't an active wondering how there house is doing. They posted this on the Ole Miss greek rank and who knows how many other schools.

Yeah actually I only posted it on bama... I thought it would be interesting to see what the other pnms think of you guys based off of this website/spring teas/preview/social media. I was at bama bound session 4 and a lot of the girls honestly wanted the houses that were known for looks or a good time.

The only answers on here will be from the sororities themselves writing flowery things to attract pnms. Don't believe anything you see! In fact, if you see comments mentioning certain sororities, know that someone in that house is insecure enough to think they need this kind of publicity to get good pnms this year. Avoid them.

Based on the spring teas and follow up and social media, I like Pi Phi, Theta, Phi Mu, AXO, ADPi, AGD, DZ and ZTA. No interest in KD, kappa or tridelt bc I did not get invited to their reception teas and have no form of contact otherwise. I figure the houses that showed interest after preview and spring tea is indicator of something chemistry wise. But I will be keeping open mind during recruitment.

All it means is that you weren't on their list. Maybe they didn't know about you. Getting invited or not means nothing.

Sometimes it means something, sometimes it doesn't. Depends on a lot of things. They could either not be interested or they could not know about her yet. It could go the way it went for you or it could go the other way.

I hope @humph is right, but they got me name and number at preview and it seemed likening ad a good visit with them at Coleman. So no invite to tea seemed like a conscious decision. It's cool. I can't make them want to get to know me better but maybe things work out and I end up at one of those houses. I guess you never know till you get in rush. But I thought it was kinda odd that some seemed to be very interested and others had nothing.

What does "on their list" mean if there was a list that the PNMs signed into at Preview Day? If a PNM was on that "list" then was there another "list" for Spring Teas? if so, would a house be so unorganized to not pick some from the preview "list" and put it on the Spring Tea "list"? I guess so, but not impressive.
Most likely, there is a list for Spring Teas that comes from the Christmas Party list for hometown events during winter break. That list is based on contacts. Then the houses picked who they liked from the Preview Day list and added it to their base list. This was the Spring Tea "list". So, if a PNM went to Preview Day and gave her name and address, but then did not make the Spring Tea "list", it has to mean something.
At a minimum it means the House was not so impressed they just had to invite the PNM to Spring Tea. That is not nothing. That means the Preview Day crew did not call the PNM out as a strong prospect, it seems to me.

I loved Pi Phi, DZ and AGD at Spring Teas. They had fun parties and the actives seemed to be really nice and appeared to have a good bond. zeta too but the house thing worries me. xo was good too. Theta seems cool and fun. Phi mu seems pretty snobby. Tridelt was a mad house. So idk about them. AOPi and AXO were similar to me. I rely was impressed by all but a couple. Excited for rush but also loving summertime!

Out of the 5 houses I visited at spring teas, AOPi was probably by favorite, but I also really loved ADPi and DG.
Other houses i'm pretty interested in but didn't get to connect with- Pi beta Phi, Theta, AXO, AGD, and possibly TriDelt.
I'm not ruling any houses out yet though! i'm really excited for rush and to see all the different personalities of each sorority!

My favorites are Tri Delt, Alpha Gam, ADPi, Alpha Chi, and Chi O! But I couldn't make it to preview day or spring teas so this is not really based on much therefore my opinions could be completely wrong and could change during recruitment! All of our houses are great houses though and I'm going in with an open mind, those are just my favorites as of now!!

Nah, they just don't try hard in anything the do, including recruitment. Where other sororities would've taken the time to find great girls who came to preview and add them to their list, they probably didn't do that. They probably kept the list that was turned in early in the year which just included all the pnms that actives knew.
Kkg and kd are typically lazy when it comes to recruitment, you'll probably be able to notice in the fall

Off what this person said, they also do have majority of the girls they want and these girls also know that they will go Kappa or KD, so in turn they don't exactly try to scope out new girls

Tbh this is exactly on point. They don't try at all when it comes to anything. KKG and KD already have about half their pledge class picked out from girls they already know. The other half they get are complete randoms. That's why half there pledge class is great, that and legacy/tradition keeps them in the top half of houses but honestly I've seen new row houses with better pledge classes. These houses are also notoriously cliquey because so many girls went to high school together.

I'm really liking DG, DZ, ADPi, AGD, GPhiB, Theta, AOPi and PiPhi. XO and TriDelt seem really nice too and I love their philanthropies, but I know that as someone without strong connections to those houses and from Ohio, I don't have as good a chance. As an upperclassman who is not from the south (but has good grades and some connections), do you think I have a chance? Definitely still going in with an open mind because I was only exposed to a few, if any, girls from each of the houses during freshman year. Thoughts??

No I think all sororities would be interested to know. We've all been working our butts off all spring so advice is appreciated. There's no way we can find out who you are anyways
