Do you need Rec letters for every sorority?

I would strongly encourage it, but two of the three houses I preffed, I did not have recs for

Hon, you had recs. The sororities wanted you enough to contact alumnae on your behalf. That happens WAY more than PNMs think. You don't get to pref without recs.

PNM, do NOT depend on a sorority getting recs for you. With 2200 girls going through recruitment, the sororities do not have time to get recs on everybody. That's why we encourage women to ask for recs from people they know. In a perfect world, you wouldn't have to worry about that, but you're in the big leagues now. Help yourself by getting recs.

Just better to have them just in case. There are a lot of girls rushing this year - record number. If the house has to chose between two girls - they will chose the one with the rec...
