Even AGD hates AGD
by: StoveFriendly reminder that two years ago a graduating agd went viral on tik tok for posting a survey she took from agd members that said over 50% of them wished they’d gone something else. Over 50% said they were embarrassed to tell people they were an agd. That is not normal. Choose a house that is also relevant after bid day!

Whatever goes viral or not, it's ridiculous that people on here keep talking about 'choose a house that...'. The sororities choose, pnm's not so much. Pnm's don't drop houses they only rank them, the sororities never see pnm's ranks so they don't take them into account, and pnm's ranks only get equal say to the sororities' ranks after pref on their MRABA card.

Every year, we bring this AGD crap up. Those girls are gone, and it's a totally different group now. This is an old row sorority, and while not everyone's cup of tea, they're a great house. It's sad how we have to go back two years and bring up stupid stuff to try to discredit houses, when EVERYONE has baggage, PERIOD!

All sides of this situation were so bad. The girl shouldn’t have made a poll, it shouldn’t have been leaked and their in charge alums have WAY too much power.
I’m someone who is academic in an OR not overly academic house. My opinion of AGD is they have some super sweet, really cute girls but they also have some wayyyy too competitive girls that post on yik yak, put down other houses and do other over the top things to try to get an advantage. It’s those weird ones that give them a bad rep but I wouldn’t consider them an embarrassing house.

i guess that pissed girl who got kicked out didn't matter. last year they had the hoco queen, miss ua, highest grades, their usual honors and campus involvement, great retention, one of the highest house membership numbers. i don't know why anyone has a prob with them. if they aren't your thing they prob aren't interested in you anyway.

Makes you wonder who really owns this site and why certain groups are targeted for negative comments while others are consistently ranked above their real ranks. Look at the ridiculous ranking comments on the sorority listing page. PiPhi is fake ranked over Kd, Kkg, Zta, Ddd. Ridiculous. Also - Agd is ranked in the 3rd spot. This isn't true either.

Are you kidding? Who owns this site? It's gossip site business that makes its money through ad sales. It was developed by an Indian guy from Virginia Tech, registered in Florida and privately owned. Anyone in the world can see and post and rank on here and the more posts and comments and rankings and controversy means more clicks to drive ad revenue. And the owner lets everything happen on here with no oversite until someone, anyone, pays a fee to have something removed, otherwise it's just means more traffic, great for business. IDK what you thought this site is, something 'official' and legit? It's just another nasty part of the internet.

This is very true, and AGD's recruitment didn't seem affected last year by this. They have a type, and plenty of those pnm's come here wanting them, so they can pick and choose. They were still highly selective and took the same quality and type of nm class they always do. If it didn't hurt them last year it's not going to hurt them this year or beyond. Only greekrankers are actually affected.
