Bid Day was Surprising this Year
by: xxI feel like there were some major shakeups this year, and I don't know why?? Aphi seriously outperformed phi mu and zeta this year. Chi O and DDD did awesome, so did KD. Zeta stole a bunch of girls from pi phi this year? What happened with phi mu and axo? In the past they basically got their pick. Barely any of the pnms I follow went theta/dz/gphi this year so I'm not sure what their pc looks like. Thoughts?

It’s obvious from the comments in this everyone posting is either trying to make their house look better by knocking others because they had an oops year or they are just stirring the pot and have never even been to the state of Alabama.
If you actually participated in rush you know who got the top PNMs and news flash …it wasn’t just one sorority and way different from all the comments. Some of the ones listed as having a great rush had very off years and some listed as bad had the best rush they’ve had in years.

I think that the great work of Zeta, AOII, and Pi Phi are a reality check that NO ONE cares about OR and NR at Bama anymore because OVER HALF of the PNMs going through are from OOS. Thank goodness! I think AOII also did very well, and I think that AXO and XO are so over rated. Have you seen the XO girls and their old house? No thanks.

APhi generally does well during Fall Rush, pulling lots of girls (esp OOS) who are attractive and social. This has been especially true the past two years.
The problem is, many of the girls who go APhi have historically been less committed to sorority life in the long run, so you see huge numbers of drops - even during pledgeship but also from juniors and seniors. Each year they end up having to COB 30-50 new girls. COB in and of itself isn't a bad thing or a "dark mark" against sororities, but it's an indicator of retention nonetheless, and it's worth noting that is an area where they struggle.
That could change this year, but this is what the trend has been.

Ah yes, Reddit. The social media site infamously known for honesty and transparency where everyone's real identity is available. How do you know anyone on Reddit is more authentic than anyone on here? Both are anonymous.
And no one is talking about those houses because they didn't take the TikTok liabilities so their PCs are less in your face. They took the girls they already knew they wanted.
Theta's PC looks super cute tho.
