You are exhausted. It's all done and out of your hands so there's nothing else to do or worry about, so now you're at loose ends. Time to shift your thought process and start settling in to your new college life. I wish you blessings of happiness and good grades, and that you spread kindness and peace wherever you go.

You’re exhausted! You’ll feel excited when you run home! Not having the anticipation of which house it’s going to be definitely makes a difference too. There’s a lot of heightened feelings during recruitment, and when it’s over it can feel like a crash. It’s totally normal! Today will be a great day, and you can rest up and start enjoying your sisterhood and making friends after this week!

I felt this way last year too. I think I was running on adrenaline all week and then kind of crashed out by bid day. I got the house I wanted and everything but it was also kind of an awkward day because none of the other girls in my rho chi group went there. So I literally knew no one. It was like "hey my sisters!!" But they were total strangers and it felt a little awkward.
Over the course of first semester I got way better. I met other girls in my pledge class not just over at the house but around in classes and at my dorm etc.
Don't let the craziness of the past week overwhelm you too much. You'll be settled in before you know it.

For most of us it is an exciting, but somewhat awkward day. Give it time. Expect to feel a little down after bidday. That is normal. Reach out to pledge sisters, your bidday buddy, and get over to the house as much as you can, especially at meals. Introduce yourself to girls and ask if you can sit with them. Put yourself out there, be outgoing, and soon you’ll feel right at home!!
