Bama Morgan vs Kylan Darnell

Kylan didnt do an interview with national media (teen vogue) in the MIDDLE OF RUSH WEEK.

I may not personally care for kylan but doing and having an interview published WHILE rushing is a huge mistake. If Bella Grace isnt dropped for pref, I will be surprised if she gets a bid

nothing personal against either girl- they could have likely got a bid to some house - but this is why every year people warn to stay off tiktok.

Houses (especially after all the hbo doc hype last year) are TIRED of the clout chasers and just want a girl who will help make the house better, not use it as a platform to promote herself for PR packages, etc

Tiktok, social media aside, Kylan was a true freshmen coming in and had more houses from the get go to start with. Morgan basically has an associates coming in and got dropped by almost every house because no one wants a junior.

So with one house left and you can only put so many people on your list...it happens. She got cut. Why invest in 1-2 years when you can have 4 years of dues.

Morgan is not polished. Everyone is acting so dense… Yk why she got dropped. Looks, nonchalant attitude, and that disgusting coughing. Idk why y’all r going so hard.

1. Post Bama Rush documentary & let’s be honest probably post Kylan, houses are going to be leary of any PNM that looks to be gathering too much attention.
2. Morgan & BG both had new TTs that started Day 1 of rush. Just feels calculated.
3. Morgan & BG both had TTs with over the top personalities. They also both went wildly viral in a week and celebrated it. And most importantly, they talked to the press during rush. This makes them wild cards for negative attention in the future.

Maybe her lesbian vibe was too obvi for BAMA. I feel they love the “soft” lez more imo….

If you're going to a job interview, you try to put your best foot forward, yes?
And, if you're the hiring manager you're looking for someone who will be the face of your company.
Wouldn't you want someone who was excited to be that person?

I’m not super educated on Southern rush (I’m in a sorority at a Northern school) but I can offer some insight. First off, Kylan came into rush with pre-existing clout. She was Miss Ohio Teen USA and Bama loves their pageant girls!! Secondly, Kylan showed a really genuine interest in rushing and finding her forever, whereas Morgan tried to play the “not like other girls act,” where it seemed like she was rushing just for the hell of it, without any serious intent to be a super involved sister or earn a leadership position one day (At least at my school, we love girls who demonstrate interest and leadership potential). She also was completely unprepared for rush, didn’t know the schedule and mispronounced a lot of the houses’ names. In trying to be “chill” and “relatable,” she demonstrated a passive disrespect. Alabama sororities don’t want girls who are “relatable” — it makes their chapter look sloppy. They want trendy, sophisticated girls who give their house an elite image. That’s why ZTA is having some regrets about Kylan. Lastly, Kylan came from a lot of money. Morgan had money too but she pretended like she didn’t. Kylan put a lot of effort into her hair, makeup and outfits while Morgan didn’t. And then, of course, the Teen Vogue interview did play a role. Following the Bama rush doc, the houses are trying to be extra careful about taking social media girls. That’s just my opinion as someone who’s been on the recruiting side and knows what the chapters look for in girls
