To clarify, I have no idea whether that's true. But on her TikTok, she said that because her Rho Chi didn't call, she got her house (singular) back. And then obviously her Rho Chi did call. She did post OOTDs for all three days so :shrug:

While I do still feel bad for her, I have no clue how she’s surprised. They tell PNMs not to even make OOTDs and she went above and beyond and quite literally did an interview with TEEN VOGUE, DURING recruitment. ANY girl who was intentionally mispronouncing “phi” for a whole week, despite being corrected 509 times is going to get dropped bc it’s straight up just disrespectful at that point. Probably wouldn’t helped to maybe put some mascara on too, but that’s neither here nor there.

Yeah but these girls all watched kylan, gracyn last year posting every day during rush and getting their top houses. Morgan & BG didn’t say anything confidential or negative about rush. Clearly not all girls on TT are treated the same so I don’t think they were dropped for not posting. Also don’t think BG actually dropped?

To go off what someone else said about her mispronouncing Phi… it think it’s funny that y’all would be annoyed to have to correct someone one how Panhellenic pronounces it. Like there are literally two ways the council says it, there is APhi where we pronounce it as Ph-EE and then like PiPhi where the Phi is actually pronounced like it should be. So yeah, it can be pretty hard for a PNM to have to keep up with two different pronunciations of the same word. I don’t think she was mispronouncing it, maybe just struggling to remember with all the things she had to learn and keep up with so far.

Sad but not surprising. As soon as she blew up on TikTok i knew she was toast. But i blame the TikTok crazy followers and especially the Brands and Teen Vogue! For preying on them. Really Teen vogue you couldn’t have waiting until after recruitment/rush? We are young, impressionable. Morgan maybe never had this much attention and got caught up in it. She would have been a fun sister for some. But once again a HUGE lesson for girls next year. DO NOT MAKE TIK TOKS. Or save them until after bid day.

Just posting OOTDs does not inherently get you dropped, but speaking to the press, acting like you can’t pronounce Panhellenic or phi, doing brand deals, putting your Venmo in your bio, and seeming like you’re only in it for TikTok rather than sisterhood does get your dropped. If you’re going to do TikToks you need to keep it simple and stay humble. She did not.

@ the second commenter, that is it. Doing an OOTD is fine, probably best to skip it but it's not going to break your rush...
But it literally never helps. No house is going to say "we want this girl with a massive following to represent our chapter!!" It's a liability from Nationals perspective.

Her rho chi DID tell her to stop. Multiple times. She said if you want to do OOTDs go ahead but stop name dropping houses and giving too much info. She didn’t listen.

I feel bad for her. I don’t think she expected the media storm and didn’t know how to handle that. When she celebrated 100k followers I knew she’d get cut. I think that and the Teen Vogue interview did her in. I would have liked to have seen her at SK or Theta.. it’s BG who I think should be dropped.

I don't see a valid reason as to why either of them should be dropped. The whole secrecy thing is outdated and stupid, people should know and be informed on what they are getting into. I sure wish I had been.

Are you aware of how you sound? It's almost like you're a member of a cult. Why should the public remain unaware of the reality of rush? I believe the reason sororities and fraternities are overly secretive and preoccupied with "liabilities" is to prevent the exposure of the psychological abuse they often subject people to.
