by: MargueriteHere’s what you don’t understand. We don’t want the same girls. The girls that you want are not on our radar. You may be popular with social media, but that isn’t our real life. The connections we make will determine the social standing after college. You won’t be in our country clubs or junior league. We won’t invite you to parties in our neighborhood because we’ve seen how you act in public. Your children won’t get the top honors. You may not care. But that’s the difference. You’ll say it doesn’t matter where you pledge once you leave college. That no one cares. You would be very wrong. And that is what determines society in southern cities.
