Kappa Accepts Men??
by: CuriousThere was an article about a Kappa chapter on the west coast that allowed a man into their chapter. The women in the chapter complained bc they felt unsafe. Is this part of their national policy to accept men?

Your statement is misleading. Yes, there are 25 sororities that allow transgenders to join but 91% of them are not social sororities, but business sororities and the like that do not live together.
The sororities on Bama's campus that allow transgender students into their sisterhood through National decree are Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Gamma, and Alpha Chi Omega.

THere are several national sororities that permit transgender women as long as they have been living as women. It is always the chapter though in any sorority that has the only say in their membership selection. The wyoming chapter member in question was run through on a shady cob bid by their exec without quorum and otherwise didn't follow their own chapter procedures and then the dude moved into the house and was creeping on the girls and taking photos of them without permission, asking them inappropriate questions and getting visible erect ions. The members complained to their nationals and were ignored so they filed a law suit.

And the person in question wasn’t even actually trans. Even if they were actually trans, the sorority had an issue with them being a creep not the trans part.

just like girls in boy scouts....but we forced the issue and sued and now girls can be boy scouts - weird.

That's less about invading boys' spaces than it is about taking away from Girl Scouts. Boy Scouts have been losing members so they opened up membership for that reason only. Female-only spaces suffer both ways.

This is stated incorrectly. Nationals allows all 145 chapters to accept transgender members. That does not mean that all 145 chapters HAVE transgender members. 25 other sororities have the same or similar policies.
