Don't let men do this to you
by: exhaustedWhy do so many people here let their experiences be designated by men? This whole ridiculous debate that goes on and on about old vs new row and what is 'better'... you literally realize it was the fraternities that decided that for you a million years ago? Please just take back your power and enjoy your sisterhood. You can find a wonderful sisterhood just as easily in a new row house. It shouldn't be about who the men decided to associate with before we were even born.

This post and comments are everything. It always bothered me about the “hot” houses. Like what? We are letting boys who barely shower and are drunk and high most of the time decide who is worthy of them? We as girls also need to ask ourselves would we like them if they weren’t in a frat? This is Bama there are gorgeous girls in every house. Once you leave Bama unless you are staying in alabama no one is going to care what sorority you were in. So pick your house for your friends and who will be there for you no matter what.
