rec letters requirement

what houses require rec letters. i would like to know what houses i am going to get dropped from right away

You may not get cut immediately, but the top
ones will cut you before sisterhood and the mid ones will drop you before pref if they have a ton of girls they want and need an easy way to cut some.

I had recs for all the old row houses except xo and when my first day invitations came out that was the only OR house missing from my list.

All old row houses will cut you by sisterhood if they aren’t interested in you for another reason (academics, extracurriculars, looks). Mid tier houses might keep you and drop you before pref. SK and Theta probably won’t care but you really don’t want to be in either of those houses unless it’s your ONLY option, and even then you should think about that really hard. It’s socially damaging to be in either of those houses.

Xo and axo are the only ones with national policies that require them for pref - however other houses could cut girls without them because that’s an easy way to narrow down the list
