Being on your period during recruitment
by: AnnoyedIt just occured to me I almost certainly will. Before anyone tells me to mess with my BC, Im not on it. I can get really hot and dizzy. Besides staying extra hydrated, having a fan, extra tampons and baby wipes, does anyone have any advice? Will I have an opportunity to go to the bathroom between every round? Im from a pretty cold state. Ive horror stories about girls fainting.

You might not have time between every single house to use the restroom, but I doubt you’ll have to go over an hour and half tops and that’s even if you have a rly unlucky schedule. I would say pack midol for cramps and xtra caffeine. If fainting is something that happens a lot for you, let your rho chi know in advance. A lot of girls are their period during rush so you def won’t be the only one. Other than that, it’s really not that bad as long as you’re hydrated. Take breaks in between houses and go sit inside at tut or starbx if you need AC

Liquid IV liquid IV liquid IV!!!!! Get iron supplements, you might get light headed due to iron deficiency so try it I know my little sister does and iron supplements are a God send! Idk if it actually works but there’s also those fish things that you can put in your water that add iron to your water! If you’re feeling unwell, talk to your rho chi! Or even to the Panhellenic tent! They’re there to help you babe!

These are all VERY good suggestions. Have you ever tried a menstrual cup? Holds SO much more than a tampon and less cramps. HOWEVER DO NOT TRY IT FOR THE FIRST TIME THAT WEEK!!! there is a learning curve, trust me. Maybe you will get lucky and be on the tail end or over it by round 2. OR start on pref. Rounds 2 and 3 are the most physically grueling by far.
