Living in house

by: Scared

I know at some schools you have to live in house for 1-3 years. I Absolutely dont want to. AT ALL. Im living in the honors suite dorms this year. Do any of the houses make you? How can you avoid this? After this I want to live in a studio or one bedroom. Im not anti social (quiet the opposite) but I shared a room with my sister from 4-16 and LOVE my own space.

Unlike other schools we dont have to try to fill the houses. There will be more girls who want to than their are beds. I do highly encourage you live with roommates for at least a few years. The vast majority of off campus apartments you will have your own room with a private bathroom in your room. Living totally alone can be very lonely. Do spend alot of time at the house. Eat your meals there, watch tv, study and go over to get ready to go out.

You might change your mind. Im an only child and my parents made me live in a traditional dorm and then in my house for "character building/the whole experience". I wouldnt say I LOVED either but I enjoyed living in house 10x more than the dorm. I also had an amazing roommate and we were super busy and had boyfriends and other sisters with apartments. It was rare we were ever in the room together. You have the rest of your life to live alone.

Sharing a room in a sorority mansion in college is very different from sharing a room with your actual sister when you're kids. You should try living in house if you can because you'll never be able to have an experience like it ever again.
