Facts about so called demographics
by: WhatLet’s talk about something. KD in the south is basically APhi of the North and Kappa of the West. All are seemingly prestigious to get into in their respected areas but beyond that they have no fit other places. Granted Kappa kinda does good at select southern school and APhi does well at select western school. The only sororities who are doing well everywhere are Tri Delt and Chi O and Pi Phi-ish.

You’re ignoring the Big 10 and Midwest…all 3 you mentioned are very strong, stronger than KD. Then the East coast: Kappa is at several of the Ivies as well as NYU, U Mass, and private schools all over the place. Alpha Phi has some presence. Chi O has very little East Coast or even West Coast schools.

Chi O is the largest sorority in the country. They have more chapters and alumnae than any other sorority.
Kappa is very strong in the South (except Auburn and Ole Miss) and strong in several other regions, too.
Tri Delt is also strong nationally. All three of the houses above have very strong nationals backing them.
Alpha Phi is garbage all across the SEC because their nationals recruits solely on looks and that’s not how SEC schools (minus FL) recruit nor how our campuses rank houses.
Theta isn’t good anywhere in the south except UGA and they’ve been falling there for years. They never got much footing anywhere in the South and Ole Miss closed their chapter within the past 15 years or so.
KD is nothing outside of the South. Same with Phi Mu. DG may be good other places, but they aren’t top tier anywhere in the South.
ADPi isn’t a top house anywhere. They’re top tier at a few southern schools, but not as much as KKG, DDD and XO are.
Those are the top three houses nationally. I’d add PBP to that list and call those the four best nationally.

Literally, who cares about a sorority’s national ranking? You go to school at BAMA. Pick your chapter based on that (if you’re lucky enough to get your pick).
EVERY chapter at Bama is amazing! You can have the total sorority experience and make friends for life. WHO CARES what the sorority is like in California or in the Ivy League? You don’t go to school in those places. You go HERE.

Is it wrong? No, you do you. The reality though is that once you are out of college, in the majority of the US, once you get out of undergrad no one cares what sorority you were in.

Thinking about the strength of chapters nationally can be an important deciding factor for some PNMs as they think beyond the next four years. Many graduates might want to leverage alumni chapters to network as they relocate to other states for job opportunities. Choosing a sorority isn’t just for four years; it should be for a lifetime.

considering aphi runs arizona, asu, syracuse, sdsu, ud, ucla, uscb, ucsd, boston, boulder, every big ten school (osu, psu, indiana, michigan, msu, purdue, umd, wisco, nebraska, iowa, uicu…), a couple ivies, and probably way more and dg is top at a considerable amount of schools in the south and west, id put those two above adpi any day.

DG isn’t top anywhere in the South and neither is APhi. APhi has more embarrassing scandals nationwide (and here at Bama) than any other sorority.
DG is irrelevant on most campuses in the South.

How many chapters has DDD closed in the last several years for low numbers? Quite a few.
Aphi second largest, tied with ZTA at 175 chapters.
