Out of state PNM
by: SuzeI’m from a small town in the west with no familial and very few Greek connections. My grades are super high and my resume is great even coming from a place nobody in Alabama has heard of. Do I have a chance?

Your chances are great if you don't let internet strangers on here dictate your rush options for you. It doesn't matter about your small hometown in the west. Be confident and present your best self and you will have great options. Other than your resume and social media, all sororities are looking for three things - cute, sweet, fun - when they meet you in person, which is why rush is actually in person.

Yes - you have a chance.
It takes social skill, the ability to talk to all types, etc., but your local/hometown isn’t a limiting factor.
Also, ignore these ranks - they really don’t matter if you are OOR as you don’t care if you are with “grade 13” from HS.
All houses offer a great experience and in many respects, you are more free to focus on what appeals to you.
Best of luck. Have fun.
