PM who stopped filming the doc
by: CuriousHow do we feel about the PM who decided to stop filming the HBO doc? Do y’all think she should be kicked? Or do you feel bad for her?
#1by: honestly
I really don't care if she remains or PM kicks her out. What I have to say is you can't tell me she had no clue what she was doing. Do not play that pity role or innocent me role. You are planning to rush at the toughest and most competitive school, you are only a senior in high school and truly have no clue of Bama's dynamics, and you go and sign to be in a documentary. Come on with your reasoning and excuses now. That was a fool's move and she was lucky she landed in PM. IMO, she was wrong on all levels no matter what was in the documentary. You just don't put yourself out there like that when you don't know how the outcome will hinder you or your future sorority house. It's called consequences.

I don't thing she told any lies, but she never should have agreed to be in that documentary if she wanted to be part of Greek life at Bama. I think she thought she could get away with if by not commenting once she went active. People aren't dumb though, and they know clout chasing when they see it. She broke their trust, so I think she should go. She has a fair amount of accomplishments and is well spoken. This along with PM liking their pageant girls is why she got OR. Their mistake. The whole thing was boring because there is nothing to see here or expose. There are many reasons why a true "top" PNM would never be in something like this, and they weren't.
#3by: My two cents
I think it likely that the HBO people were extremely persuasive, and knew exactly how to play these young girls with just the right things to say to them and their parents. These professionals can be very persuasive, and even seasoned adults in the business can be played. An 18 year old just out of high school is not exactly experienced or savvy, I know I wasn't, and would be easily seduced. So I do have some sympathy for her based on naivety. If she has been a good member then I am all for giving some grace in this situation, with some conditions. I do think that she would be a distraction during rush and should be relegated to the back of the house and not meeting pnm's, she should not be eligible to be in any high-profile roles in her sorority, and keep a very low social media profile with zero mention of her involvement in the show.

I think there is no excuse. Everything she did was for her gain. I agree that she sat back and watched one pnm be destroyed. She knew the pnm was being accused of participating in that documentary and she sat still with her mouth shut. I find it sad and pathetic. She can say all she wants she dropped out of it, but she likely only did that when she really found out it was a bad look on her part.

Literally. Also a senior in highschool isn’t a child. She knew what she was doing. It’s messed up how a girl was kicked out due to just being suspected of being with the documentary. Whereas you know who signed a contract to work with the documentary, kept it a secret for a year until she physically couldn’t lie about it anymore, and got in an OR sorority. I hate the double standard.
