HBO Doc girls are about to be humbled

by:

Cheers to all the girls who participated in the making of the HBO doc, I wish you well and hope it was worth it. Don't come crying when you get dropped, kicked out, or bullied. You made your bed, now lie in it.

Bullied? LMAO y’all proving them right. They got $$$ and will be rewarded with opportunity for speaking out. Anyone who was in a bama sorority will be judged harshly because of the doc. I’d leave it off your resume babes

That would be a really bad luck for Nationals. If you are that petty you are only validating that something is up that you are trying to hide.

They did it with an nphc tv show and removed their alumni status so I’m sure Panhellenic will do the same

So you’re gonna prove all the worst things people say about Greek life were true? Makes sense

By: HBO Girlie

they made their choices. fame and $ meant more to them than their house. don't assume everything the actives dropping and getting kicked out is true either. the tt haters will believe what they want anyway.

No I think anytime if someone goes in undercover for anything the company/ university/ organization is not going to keep them. It's deceitful. They are trying to do damage to that entity. Honestly though if I had such a problem with something why would I pay dues and participate.i think each girl in it had various reasons and their truth will be revealed. But it all leads me back to fame...... people will do all kinds of things for recognition. We will just have to wait and see how the film portrays each girl and whatever sorority they are in. The whole thing is going to be negative based on the trailer but we have to see for ourself. But no on needs to get bullied for this. People make mistakes all the time. We are no better if we shun and don't forgive. I'm not sure how the national soro will handle this or the UA pan. Going to be interesting. I see all sides now

Some of y’all are so nasty and slimy. If you don’t have anything to hide, you shouldn’t be afraid of a documentary on an online streaming service. Honestly y’all are sick in the head and I feel bad that you have so much hate in your hearts. Organized racism, slander, harassment, rigging of elections, etc are all unconstitutional and immoral. You guys are on the wrong side of history and just can’t see it right now. Please try to love more, I promise you’ll be much happier.

@yep, there is no such thing as a "Canadian" Sorority. Your Sorority was founded in the US sometime in the distant past and you belong to a chapter that happens to be located in Canada. BIG difference!

Would you be a little afraid if you knew that a group that means something to you was about to be misrepresented and slandered by a few self-serving people who just want clout?
For being on the “wrong side of history”…. None of this has any historical context. Just some 18-22 yr olds trying to have a social life and a little fun during the college years. The woke mob is so miserable they can’t stand to see anyone having any fun anymore, the agenda is to make everyone as miserable as they are.

See, people like you are the problem. You already have preconceived notions about what sorority life is like and living in the South in general, an entire region of our country, is like. These notions are based on your own bigoted sense of superiority instead of actual truth. So to get ratings, the truth will be manipulated and outright misrepresented in order to maintain the narrative you already have in your head as an audience member. This isn't a "documentary", it is a scripted reality show.

Who is is in need of loving more and hating less? I’d suggest a look in the mirror!

YOUR bigotry and slander at a group of women is no less insulting and stereotyped.

I’d suggest you learn more, open your mind and hate less.

In some people’s minds, you’re free to celebrate yourself and express your struggles - unless you’re a straight white girl!

The theme of the trailer seems to be misogynistic and unsympathetic.

Yawn.

These houses are run and managed by women. So are the nationals. My sense is this will be over looked.

Will they look at the behind the scenes management of the houses, all the tasks and logistics?

The notable budgets, managed by members?

The grades - which are higher than the university averages!

The alumnae - and leadership roles many hold. Including the governor.

In this era of bombardment of “mental health” woes - will they consider that Bama sorority girls are statistically “less depressed” - or ponder this? That they share social and communal bonds that are generally very advantageous to their well being.

I could go on.

These girls have captured the imagination of the country (and the world) with a billion Tik Tok views.

Heaven forbid these traditions are seen as a good thing! \n\n\n\n\n

This is what is so heartbreaking. We have young women managing and leading 400+ member organizations, participating in philanthropy, supporting each other in sisterhood, holding study hours and tutoring sessions to keep GPA’s up and developing life long social/communication skills that will help them compete in future careers. The media and a few self-serving individuals see an opportunity to exploit them and nothing else will matter. The rest of it doesn’t get viewers.

Straight, white and cisgender - and proud of it!

That ABSOLUTELY does NOT mean I don’t respect your right to take pride in your particular thing, but don’t tread on me.

We need a symbolic flag - without any hateful connotations. Maybe just plain white!

Stop pretending that you didn’t know what you were doing when you gave that interview. You knew, and not only did you know, you signed consent forms stating you knew. Now, after realizing the potential backlash, you want to beg for forgiveness from the same sisters you tore down in the interview—yes, those same sisters who supported you for the last four years in everything from a failing test grade to job rejections and bad break ups. I hope this ends the way you are pretending to want it to end.
