Just my personal opinion from what I've seen on campus, less emphasis on grades and more emphasis on social opportunity/ general membership experience. I think grades and involvement are incredibly important but I strongly believe the girls of agd, xo, axo, and adpi would still excel at academics without a sorority, whearas many of the pretty girls in looks houses would not have as much social capital without their letters.

Exactly, you can always tell it’s a bunch of GDIs on here because all they talk about are grades and sisterhood. Not to sound superficial, but no one talks/cares about grades and every house is about the same when it comes to “sisterhood”. You got real girls and fake girls in every house. There are ambitious girls in every house and party girls in every house. It’s about where you fit in. No one is going thru rush saying “OMG! I want Phi Mu because their GPA is sooo high!!”
