by: Bama rush 2023Has anyone scouted next years rush girls? Any you think to look out for? I see a ton of girls and wonder which ones will go to each house. I have seen a girl Mary Wil and she seems like an a phi or chi o.

Fwiw, I did this for the past recruitment week. I went through and scouted early. I wrote names down and predictions for about 50 girls. Almost all of them went to my top one or two guesses. I was totally off on just one to be really honest. There was another I was unsure about and she went to a house I would never have guessed. Honestly, I based my predictions solely on appearance and off of a few snaps on their instas. So, the whole resume, grades, and connections didn't factor into my picks. I found it kind of sad that I could place people that easily. I really wanted to see how much recruitment is based on looks and not really anything else. I didn't know any of these girls and nothing was a shocker in the end.

I can easily predict where girls from my AL high school will go. If you know where they fall in your school’s social hierarchy that’s usually how it works out in rush. There may be one or two that have a strong connection you didn’t know about that land a “top” house. Or I might be surprised by finding out that someone has a bad rep with actives and gets dropped from the houses I could see them in. But for the most part it’s a continuation of how popular you were in HS. Same for AU-I don’t go there but even I can tell by just looks/popularity where she’ll end up- it’s kinda sad. Anyway hate to say it but don’t really get your hopes up to get into a “top” unless you’re already killing it or maybe have a close older friend in a house that can pull you in.
