Ask that 60% how they’re enjoying it. Ask them if they have any regrets with going KD.

yes it’s real, if you aren’t from alabama or at least the south your chances of getting dropped are very high unless you have connections. these houses are also very cliquey once your in them and if your not from alabama you might feel excluded/left out. this is based on what my friends in these sororities from oos have told me

There is some truth to it. When the university did not have a big out of state population, a lot of the old row and other top houses traditionally focused on taking girls from certain hometowns (ie kd/kappa with mobile and mountain brook) because they knew the girls or could find things out if they didn’t. When the shift was made to an influx of out of state girls rushing that shifted things. Certain old row house like phi mu, alcha chi, and tri delt did very well because they shifted towards the out of state girls when that influx started. It did “hurt” them at the time but now it has really paid off. KD, Kappa, Chi O and alpha gam shifted a little bit later in the game which is why you hear the “if you aren’t from ____ you won’t get a bid”.

I'd be willing to bet that 99% of those girls come from the south tho, if you're from the south ur probably not an automatic drop but if midwest/east/west coast forget about it
