by: DSo unpopular opinion and no I am not an aphi but Aphi>Zeta. They’re pretty similar in type but zeta tries so hard and is just going overboard with the social media and recruitment tactics. It’s getting ridiculous. Aphi has kept it pretty low key. Just my thoughts from another house

im being so serious when i say what is going on in alpha phi.
every single year we see Aphi get a really large pledge classes of cute girls who seem to be happy on bid day then boom their pledge class is half the size it initially was before we can make it to thanksgiving break.
Please correct me but does Zeta have to deal with those huge drop out numbers? No. They must care a lot more for their new members. Considering the hate Zeta gets they must do something right.

But no, alpha phi doesn’t have a bunch of mobile girls. It’s primarily a northern sorority. Girls fm mobile stay away fm alpha phi

It just looks like the same sororities get most of the hate: ZTA, KKG, APHI, KAT
Guess: ZTA because of their rise. KKG, APHI, KAT because they are nationally very strong.
For instance, why does KAT get so much hate when AOII, SK, SDT, DG do not? If KAT is so bad why bother with them?
KKG is harder to bash since they have a stronghold in Mountain Brook and other Alabama places.
APHI is top in all the places where Phi Mu, AGD, AXO, CHI-O, KD, ADPI are not - which is most of the US. It looks like a deliberate effort to crush them here.
I am a sophomore so I have been on campus for a year and have been looking forward to recruitment.
Thanks for the posts on this site because it really shows what is going on behind the scenes.

Yeah they are somewhat similar, and they are both new row. Here’s the biggest difference: Alpha Phi is where the yankee girls go. Zeta is mostly southern girls. They look similar from the outside looking in, but they’re actually a lot different as far as the types of members they select. Also, even tho zeta is new row they still primarily associate with old row fraternities, where Alpha phi doesn’t since they are 100% non-Alabama new row girls

You for sure do not go to Bama . This is completely untrue. 65% of UA is out of state students . All houses have a mix of oos and Alabama girls.

Zeta definitely is better than aphi. I do have friends in both. Aphi has a whole different vibe. Yes they both have pretty girls but zeta is more respected. Zeta’s grades have been improving way above aphi. Zeta does have more Alabama girls so that may also be why they are more respected. Aphi has may more risky girls.

You are not going to get a fight between Zeta and APhi. They are very close.
