PNM’s Have Fun and Be Smart

by: GR is Fake

PNM’s, as you go through recruitment, gravitate to the house that feels the most comfortable for you and where the girls you meet could become your friends. Dismiss all the stupid house ranks on GR mostly by people who don’t attend Bama and follow your gut. Some houses will feel more natural than others.

The whole process is about sisterhood, finding your lifelong friends, and finding your second home. Once recruitment is over, nobody on this campus cares about ranks or discusses them. I have friends in houses that are ranked in both top and bottom tiers and nobody cares. The frat boys really don’t give a crap what letters you wear as long as you are cute and fun. One house won’t make you more popular than another.

I also know girls that are miserable in the alleged top houses and they should have preferenced differently but they were persuaded by the alleged ranks. Don’t make that mistake. You have 4 years with the house.

I’d recommend that you take note of which house really wants you and is treating you well during parties. Are you being led to prominent seats in the center of the room or in the back by the wall? Are you being introduced to a lot of girls? Are you being introduced to officers? Everything about recruitment is orchestrated by the houses so read the signs. You will be 100 times more happy in a house that really wants you than a house where you were given a bid just to fill their quota.

Last, all houses have a ton of social activities, opportunities to be involved, parties with frats, semi formals and formals. All of them. Bama Greek life is superior to all other schools because of this. You will not get cheated out of that experience in any house here.
