International Students Rushing

There's no restriction on international students. If you will be here for your entire 4 year degree and not just for a year or two then no problem, otherwise sororities usually don't really want to waste a bid on someone who will get initiated and then immediately leave. Many sororities now allow recommendations from non-alumnae who know you closely, so teachers, coaches, bosses, etc. can write recs for you. You need to go to each sorority's national site and check their rec policy to see who can write one for you. It's a pain but you have time to make a spreadsheet. If you need help with obtaining an alumna rec for a specific sorority's requirement, you can contact that national office and explain your situation and they will do their best to put you in contact with an alum who can help you out. There are many sorority women living abroad who would be happy to meet you and help you out. Good luck.
