AXO VS XO VS AGD
by: Pnm333I’m rushing this year and I don’t really know the difference between these three sororities. I heard they’re all good and care a lot about grades but what are the differences and which one is best? Please help!

AGD has two very distinct types of girls. Some of them are super academic and only focus on that and others are smart girls that are party crazy. They’re also super religious most of the time. AXO is academically great too but I’ve heard they’re sisterhood is not the best. Most girls in the 2021 pc don’t like each other and didn’t want to go alpha chi as their first choice. Sweet girls but it’s hard to find a friend group. XO is a good mix of academics and fun from what I’ve heard. They have strong sisterhood but they’re pretty reclusive (I’ve only met a few in my time here). Super nice girls and very smart. All of these sororities need to work on finding more out of state girls though and they lack a significant amount of diversity

All three of these houses have smart and involved girls with good grades. The main differences are in their social atmospheres.
AGD has super sweet girls but are generally more nerdy than XO and AXO. Think granola girl vibes. Lots of religious presence. PC 21 was interesting as it seems there were two types of girls recruited: the typical classy southern girl (what you’d expect from old row) and the dorkier, non party-goer girl.
AXO, while very similar to AGD in the sense that the girls are very academically focused and very involved on campus, differs in the way that their religious presence isn’t as prominent as AGD’s (though it is still present) and the girls are a lot more socially active.
AGD and AXO are very similar and recruit very similar girls. Both have the SGA girls, pageant queens, capstone women, etc. Lots of southern girls but are making way for OOS girls too. The main difference is the stereotypes they’re known for on campus… look at the leek bama Instagram if you’re curious.
XO on the other hand is a little different. While in past PCs they overlapped with AXO and AGD, their most recent PCs have become less involved and a little less… classy? They do have a presence in SGA and other prominent on campus activities but not as much as the other two sororities. They still are comparable to AXO and AGD but seem to be going in a different direction based on the girls I’ve talked to

Damn just say you’re an AGD that wishes they were an AXO or XO…
OP, AXO and XO are regarded higher on campus than AGD. This poster is just a case of sour grapes.

All 3 are smart sororities.
AXO is like the bridge between Phi Mu and XO. XO is a little more quirky, but likable.
AXO and XO both seem to have great sisterhoods.
AGD is more religious than the other two and they have this distinct way of posting and talking. It seems like once PNMs get into AGD they all start sounding the same.
AXO and XO are both more desired than AGD.

The difference is in prestige and stereotypes. They’re all smart, involved, and nice girls.
AXO is the most prestigious or “desired,” then XO, then AGD.
An AGD is stereotypically religious, nerdish, (not necessarily in a bad way) and involved on campus with good grades
AXO is known for being more classy, involved,
good grades, and social
XO is very similar to AXO in the southern, classy vibe but recent PCs are moving away from the usual “old row” stereotype

^ yes. By far the three most boring sororities on campus. It's weird - sororities are social organizations - these three are far from social.

I have friends in all three of these houses. Here’s my take:
AGD: The most religious and most conservative house. Excellent grades and very involved in campus politics. The least social of the three. I rarely see a lot of AGDs out at the bars or at parties. Average amount of in-house drama. More welcoming to their new girls and not as cliquey as other houses like KD or KKG. Most girls are from Alabama, but they do take out of state, but not much from outside of the South.
AXO: Equally as impressive with grades and involvement on campus. I think they cross-rush more with Phi Mu than with AGD. There’s more variety with their girls in terms of hometowns, political beliefs, etc than AGD. They’re probably the most competitive house in terms of making their girls get involved in everything.
XO: not as religious as AGD, and take more out of state girls than they do. I see more XOs at parties and bars than the other two houses. XO is more similar to AXO than AGD. I think they’re the most “chill” of those three houses.

AGD is probably the house where schools, hometowns, and connections matter most. That said, connections aren't the only thing and they care about that stuff way less than KD and Kappa.

I agree AXO cross-rushes more with XO and PM than AGD for most girls some do pref AXO/AGD.
All are good houses.

These comments are all true but I can’t help but say they are so similar except I can tell axo and agd by the decisions they made during rush……
Too many XO regret and wish they could go back and choose one of the others too to avoid mean girls/exclusiveness.
Axo vs Agd is axo acts like they are your picture perfect girl with great grades and involvement BUT agd wins the awards…
Not to mention if you want to hangout with any frat that isn’t ATO maybe don’t pledge AXO

They are all great houses. AGD is a bit more christian and southern. XO is a bit more party and quirky and edgy (in a good way). Like AGD is “Speak Now” Taylor Swift and XO is “Reputation” Taylor. AXO and AGD are more into grades and involvement as a whole, but XO has standout members that achieve a ton. Like the average AXO/AGD has better grades and involvement but XO has some real stars. AXO and AGD are more pageanty in my opinion. AGD is just a more southern and slightly more Christian version of AXO. Just pick a house that you vibe with and you’ll be fine. All of these houses have groups that study and party hard. There’s not one house that’s definitely better than other.
