If you have under a 3.5 you are going to have a very difficult rush. Even houses that have under a 3.5 house average are looking for girls that can bring their average up.

So don’t look at DDD with a 3.49 and think you can get in with a 3.4. They‘re looking for girls with higher GPAs that can help them boost theirs.

Don’t be shocked if you get cut by 10-12 houses before Philanthropy. Don’t let that get to you. Just focus on the ones you still have options with. It only takes one house on pref for you to get a bid!

Is a 3.49 not closer to a 3.5 than a 3.4? What did that specific GPA have to do with DDD?

Yes, a GPA below a 3.4 will result in you getting cut from a lot of houses very early in the process. Mentally prepare for having 5 or fewer houses after first round but don't stress because everyone gets cut from all the houses except one. Everyone. Your cuts will just happen quicker and in greater volume upfront.
I will say that my heart was not broken my one house that cut me after first round (before I even met anyone) but man does the heartbreak happen after sisterhood round. That's tough. In some ways, its better to be cut earlier.

What is the comparison in high school and college GPAs? If this is the standard for high school what is the standard for college?
