Instagram Followers and Recruitment

Do any houses care about your Instagram follower count/ number of likes? I know this is so so dumb and they most likely don't care at all but I feel like so many actives who've followed me have 3k+ followers, and a number of other pnms have that many or more as well.

I can only let you know about my house - we have committees broken down by region. The actives follow those from their region - ie....Northern California girls follow girls from No Cal / SoCal follow SoCal, Florida follows FL and so forth. We have weekly Zoom meetings regarding our interests in them.

also wondering if it means something when houses follow/don’t follow you? several of my friends have been followed by a few of the chapter instagrams (not just actives) and I’ve only had actives follow me

They don't care about your number of followers, but if a house or member follows you, follow back.

The actives have 3K+ because Bama is huge and you meet so many people the first couple of months. Everyone gains followers going through roommate picks, rush and the first semester.
