by: yobro the amount of tiktoks ive seen from bama bounders being like “we’re the stars of bama rush season 2 get ready”…yall. how many times do people have to tell you that engaging in all that is not a good idea. 1-you’re setting yourself up to get hate/cyberbullying in general. 2-many of the houses don’t want members who are in the public eye so much and your social media presence can keep you from getting your favorite house, and 3-if you just feel like you have to participate in bama rush tok, an ootd or whatever is fine, but DO. NOT. name drop houses and talk about specifics. Actives will see it and you will get dropped. I saw it happen in my house last year. If you’re going through rush just to be an influencer it’s not going to end well for you. Just a reminder psa for the pnms on here because the amount of this stuff I’ve seen is really concerning

and if you’re the girl who’s talking about her specific experiences from rush and naming houses, EVEN IF everything you say is positive, any house here will interpret that as: “she’s talking publicly about all these houses now, and if we take her she’s gonna talk about us. if she ends up hating it/dropping, she’s now a loose cannon and PR nightmare for us”. sororities have changed a lot over the years, but they are still secret societies. the very last thing they want is their name in the news—or on tiktok. they will drop you simply because you posting a tiktok has turned into a liability issue
