Rushing with a 3.0?
by: mmtIs it a waste of time to rush with a 3.0 gpa? Are the suggested gpa's for each sorority listed in greek chic the cut offs for those houses?

Thank you. I am very worried about being dropped the first round bc of grades but really want to join a sorority. I didn't know if the suggested GPA in greek chic is a cut off for PNMs or if there is some flexibility.

Some sororities have lower GPA requirements, APhi, SK, DG, and SDT minimum is 2.5!!!!

Definitely go through recruitment! Many have lower GPA suggestions. Only SDT, who does not participate in formal recruitment, has lower than 3.0. They do their own thing. Check Greek Chic, which lists the suggested GPA for each sorority. Grades are an easy way to manage the numbers in the first two rounds. After that, it's on you.
