@lol I wish I knew who you were because you are so spot on. I tried talking about this once before to a group of people and nearly had my head bit off. Anyone who thinks young women are not joining an org for social reasons needs to reflect on the bigger picture. I can't remember a pnm when I was going through the process that spoke about an org's gpa or leadership opportunities. No no no. They are thinking social and fun. The rest is there for the taking if they wanted to get involved. I agree that the top sororities are top because they are the most social ones, but keep telling yourselves otherwise.

Why do you want to be part of a sorority and pay thousands of dollars just to be categorized as hot and invited to fraternities? As a sister you will have to follow strict rules and you will be judged as hell. Spare your money. If you are hot you will always be on THE lists.

yeah some girls have to do mental gymnastics to prove why their house is a top socially accepted house on campus and relevant while other houses have the same social calendars without the need to point that out.
nobody cares as much as OP about the mentioned chapters and their not privileged social calendars. Yawn. It is not that deep.
