how do they know who is rushing
by: pnmThis might be a silly question but as an upperclassmen from out of state, how do actives find me to even figure out I’m interested in rush? Do I need to start reaching/following girls in houses I’m interested in? I see so many threads about how houses already have an idea of who they want before rush even begins. How does that work in this case?

If you have posted on Instagram ua2026 and indicated that you were rushing, tagged Alabama in a photo with a caption like"home for the next 4 years", have a friend currently in a house, or your mom/dad mentioned you're interested in rushing on one of the Facebook parent pages - every house has checked in on you. Sorority rush teams are better than the CIA & FBI combined. Clean up your social media (Tik Tok, Insta, FB, VSCO) and follow them back.
DO NOT limit yourself to only the houses YOU THINK you're interested in. That's a one-way ticket to getting dropped. Be open to the process and things will most likely go smoothly for you.

Great advice! I’m not really active on Instagram specifically. Is this something I should change between now and rush?

You've missed the boat if you weren't active on Instagram before you registered for recruitment.

Exactly what hey PNM said! Try following girls in all the houses, you genuinely have no clue how your rush week is going to go for the most part and you don’t want to limit yourself. Plus sometimes you can get a feel for girls in the sorority through the members instagrams. Also follow all the sororities on insta, girls check!!
