What is it like being low tier?
by: Be honest
Just from a social perspective, ie swaps, date parties, HC pairs, invites to formals and all the other social stuff?
Can you honestly say that a lower tier as a similar and equally enjoyable social experience/calendar?

Yes it is similar and equally enjoyable. More than that, no one looks at it this way once you are past formal recruitment. When you join a chapter and tell people which one you are in, the initial reaction of other people lasts exactly five minutes.
After that, it is all about the friendships that you have made or will make. You will be with these girls for four years, so you better have based your decision on more important factors than tiers and answers to the above questions. You want to join the chapter where not only you fit in best, but where you can make a difference too.

I’m an OOR freshman in what would be deemed on GR as one of the lower tier houses and there is no social difference. I’ve made fantastic friends in my house, we have a beautiful house, I’ve attended 3 frat formals this year, numerous date parties, made friends with girls in other sororities, made a bunch of guy friends pomping for homecoming, etc.
Besides GR, nobody cares. No frat guy cares what letters you wear if you’re cute, put together, and fun to hang around with. Stop stressing about it. This campus has the most fun Greek life in the Nation no matter what house you are in.

Is it possible to have a great time here if you aren't Greek... ABSOLUTELY!!!!! There are so many great ways to get involved. And believe it or not GDI girls go to date parties, formals, tailgates, regular parties.
But all that being said... If you are looking for the sorority/typical Greek experience and don't join a house, you will be pretty miserable. Like you are looking in. I'm in a lower ranked not social/party house (well according to GR) and my social calendar was about as busy as anyone else I knew in another house.
