Alpha Gam

People are not saying that Alpha Gam’s pledge class sucks because of the girl with Down’s Syndrome. They are saying it sucks because of the 130 OTHER girls they took that the top houses passed on.
We’re all proud of them for taking the special needs girl. That is an incredible act of kindness on their part. But for people to assume that any negative comments about their pledges is because of that one girl is so dumb. It’s because of the other 130.

Alpha Gam is still a very desired house. Nobody opens their bid disappointed they got ΑGD. But people on here are putting them down and low ranking them bc cause they did the work and brought in a top tier, truly diverse pledge class.
That seems to me as more than “kindness”. I think they did the work and picked diverse girls that would fit in with their chapter.
That makes me want to rank them higher, not lower. You people not recognizing that are what is wrong with Greek life.

It’s actually very condescending and discriminatory to say that inviting a girl with Down’s syndrome is “an INCREDIBLE ACT OF KINDNESS.”
They actually knew this girl and WANTED her there. It had nothing to do with “kindness.” Stop acting like this was a stunt, it wasn’t.
