at first i was concerned she might be a token, but saw on another thread that the girl is friends with people from AGD for a long time, religious, actually a good fit etc. i checked socials and they were right - i don't actually think the girl was a token

Y’all realize how much work that they are gonna do for this girl? It’s amazing that they would be willing to actually practice what they preach about sisterhood and kindness. There’s a lot of extremely kind and caring girls in alpha gam, so I’m sure will love it! I’m very upset that my house dropped her, but tbh alpha gam is probably the most inclusive place for her.

Honestly if I had to pick a house for her or anyone with special needs, it would be AGD. There’s a lot of sweet girls in that house, at least the ones I’ve met.

Both are great chapters with members who understand what sisterhood stands for.

Yeah, and don’t worry about her being a token. My friend in AGD explained how they have a buddy system where girls are checking up on her and making extra sure she feels loved every day. The entire chapter knew about AGD rushing her and were totally cool with it and super excited from what I heard. She had a lot of friends from home who were already in AGD, and she’s a senior so this is only going to be a thing for a year because her mom was hesitant about her rushing before now. I guess by some of these vile comments on this site I can see why. My friend in DZ talked to her during rush and apparently the entire conversation was her talking about how much she loved AGD and she had had her letters in her bio since the summer lol. I know that every chapter may not be able to accommodate this just yet, but I hope more crossing points students will feel comfortable rushing in the future by her example!

Nope she’s an upperclassman with special circumstances. She preffed my house along with AGD. AGD got some great girls, POC or not. You are tokenizing the POC girls by singling them out like that.
