And you get to make friends with their sisters. And they yours.
(Unless someone all of a sudden feels they are too good for their friends)

Nope you’re forbidden to interact with anyone from your old life. That’s why families come to bid day, to say goodbye.

Np 😉 it’s gonna be fine! Worry about one thing at a time. And today that’s gonna be not falling when you go to run to your house in a bit.

For real though yea! I mean 80% of your future activities are with your own chapter, but I’m still friends with my roommate from freshman year who went to a dif house (helps that we have the same major).

You can def still be close with your roommates and other girls you connected with and do stuff together. A lot of times y'all will drift apart anyway though, not from different affiliations but you just get on a different page in life, so to speak, and you have other paths and perspectives as you grow. College is about that.

Also, please understand that you aren't going to like everyone in your sorority. A lot you will be just fine with and some you will hardly ever know. This is natural, not a problem, and if you find a HANDFUL of really close wonderful sisters to be your friend group that you love, you have done sorority life right.

Omg yes please realize you’re not gonna be besties with everyone in your chapter. But in 2 years I’ve learned the importance of having to work together with people I don’t agree with and it’s invaluable.

You’ll still be friends with them if you work on your relationship. It may be a bit harder now everyone has their own activities and classes, but it’s doable! Plan study dates, coffee dates and do a once a month movie night (if possible). Don’t forget to support each other for philanthropy events!

I should add that it won’t be your house that separates you, it will be your major. Especially if you’re in a STEM program like Nursing. You’re going to see you naturally will want to be around people of the same major as you, regardless if they’re Greek or not.

And, you are going to meet some great girls who aren't in a sorority. Some of them might be convinced to rush if you like them and think they're a fit and you can bring them to events and introduce them around.
