Y'all outsiders really don't get this, so once again:
Quota is NEVER, EVER, a preset number and the releases each round are NOT geared toward eliminating pnm's entirely from recruitment. It simply narrows down the choices.
Releases for each sorority are based on percentages, not hard numbers, and are different for each house and different for each round.
Individual sororities release pnm's from their consideration but the vast majority of pnm's do not get released from all their houses and have options for pref.
Quota is established at the very end based on the number of pnm's attending pref and signing cards. So that number has yet to be determined.
Sororities will take more than Quota to ensure that each pnm who ranks both her houses, or just the one if that's all she's got, WILL be offered a bid. Pnm's who have two houses at pref but only rank one are not guaranteed a bid.

Also to add most of the girls that get released from rush entirely did not have the grades. Pretty sure all houses have a 3.0 cut off and some of the more competitive ones are a 3.3. In my house you need a letter from an active explaining your poor grades if you’re under the cut off to get in
