Reasons for being cut

by:

Why would a house choose to drop me after sisterhood? I thought we would be passed the GPA thing by now, so what are some common reasons for not getting any houses at all at this point? Really hoping this does not happen but I'm trying to mentally prepare knowing that there are more girls rushing than the quota this year.

uhm, “more girls rushing than quota”, isn’t quota determined by the amount of girls rushing in the first place? after pref

Yes. Quota isn’t set until after preference. You all are getting some bad information. Talk to you rho chi for correct information.

But one thing is the same at all NPC schools. Encourage your friends and neighbors to not drop before bid day. The more girls who go to pref the better for everyone. All houses get more spots. And the process works like it should.

There is never a preset quota for gods sake. Stop it. More pnm’s ranking houses after prefix means higher quota. They will choose the girls who are connecting best with them and seem to really want their house. If you don’t act like you’re really happy to be there and don’t tell them you like them then that’s not connecting.

it’s a personality fit choice at that point.

Getting cut at this point doesn’t mean that they don’t like you or there’s a thing wrong with you. It’s numbers and who is BEST best fit.

Honestly we go through hundreds of girls and people eventually just slip through the cracks at some point. Aside from the girls we’re really rushing hard people eventually will blend together unless you’re really standing out in the minds of quite a few members. The house you’re meant to be in won’t drop you because you’re standing out to them. Don’t take it personally!
